| In the 1970’s, David Redington started a lifelong career as a kid at the Pompano Bait & Tackle Shop doing every day chores and repair work. For over 20 years, Mr. Redington worked his way up the ladder, dedicating a major portion of his life to really understanding the ins and outs of custom rod building. In 1987, David opened up Redington Customs, which prided itself on building high-quality custom inshore, offshore, and fly rods. In 1993, Mr. Redington was a founding partner in Redington Fly Rods, which was later sold to Orvis after a 5 year run as one of the world’s most premier fly rod manufacturing companies. Since then, Mr. Redington founded the South Fork Rod Co., which builds glass and bamboo rods and has consulted to multiple other successful rod manufacturing companies.
Today, David is a member of the Southern Angler Team and has a wealth of knowledge that he can’t wait to share with you! |

| John Roetman has been fly fishing fresh and saltwaters as well as fly tying for over 45 years. Mr. Roetman worked at the Ramsey Outdoor Store for 11 years and at Orvis for three years, both as fly fishing manager/buyer, and speaker/ program coordinator.
John has hosted fly fishing trips to many states in the USA, as well as Argentina, New Zealand, Belize, Bahamas, Canada, Venezuela, Chile and Mexico. John Roetman is a life member of the Housatonic Fly Fishers of Connecticut, Coastal Fly Rodders of New Jersey and Trout Unlimited National. He is a life member of the East Jersey Trout Unlimited and served on the board as President for five years, Speaker and Trips Chairmen for 12 years. John has taugh fly tying and fly casting clinics in adult evening schools as well. He is a registered guide in New Jersey and retired in July, 2010 and now lives in Hobe Sound, Florida with his wife of 48 years. John is a member of the Southern Angler Team and is ready to serve your everyday angling needs! |

| Giles Murphy was brought up fishing in Florida and working in the fishing equipment industry. He spent summers working at fishing lodges in Alaska where he used conventional tackle and developed a passion for fly fishing. Over the time he spent attending Florida State University, he studied the business side of fishing while also working every summer as a fly fishing guide in Breckenridge, Colorado. After graduating, Giles joined the Southern Angler team of modern, technical fishermen. Southern Angler strives to spread the word of the new fishing generation with group discussions, classes, seminars and fishing trips; Giles helps lead many of these discussions.
